This is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing all HR operations, initiative, and functions. The successful candidate will have a “all hands on deck” approach to work and will be instrumental in addressing all present and future business needs by developing, engaging, motivating, and retaining human capital.Key Account Responsibilities and Functions Develop and lead the overall HR strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals while empowering and managing a team of HR professionals.Manage the overall recruitment process for field and office staff – must be comfortable getting involved in the day to day recruitment needs as required.Develop, implement, and monitor compliance to company policies; address all staff relations, grievances, and disciplinary actions. Develop and lead the employee performance appraisal system.Oversee compensation and benefit plans.Cultivate a positive work environment and culture.Continuously assess training needs and monitor training programs. Other HR related duties as assigned.Required Skills and QualificationsMinimum 5 years of proven experience in an HR Manager/Director role (preferably in the oil & gas sector). Post secondary diploma/degree in Human Resources highly preferred. ADP Software experience an asset. Experience in developing compensation, total rewards, and benefits.Ability to develop and monitor overall HR Strategies and systems for the organization.Proven ability to build a team, strong negotiation, and presentation skills. Must have experience leading a team of HR professionals.Demonstrable experience with human resource metrics along with knowledge of HR systems and databases. Advanced understanding and strong knowledge of Alberta Employment Standards, Alberta Labour Laws and HR best practices.Must be a confident self-starter with excellent active listening skills.
