Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care (“Yee Hong”) is one of Canada’s largest not-for-profit senior care organizations with an exceptional reputation for delivering high quality, culturally appropriate and person-centred care and services to diverse individuals and communities. With a vision of seniors living their lives to the fullest - with independence, health and dignity, Yee Hong provides a full continuum of culturally appropriate services and care from active seniors programs to home and community support services, long term care and palliative/end of life care, from campuses and other locations across the Greater Toronto Area. Yee Hong proudly provides care to Asian Canadian seniors living in any setting including Chinese, Japanese, South Asian, and Filipino and other diverse backgrounds. Yee Hong serves more than 15,000 seniors and caregivers annually and shares knowledge and insights on a wide range of senior-related matters.Yee Hong’s community and in-home support services empowers seniors across the GTA to remain independent and active community members. These services include active seniors programs, home care, adult day programs, congregate dining, meals on wheels from a community kitchen, caregiver support services, transportation, and a wide array of innovative programs including supporting individuals and their families with managing chronic disease, dementia and palliative care. In addition to excellent care provision, Yee Hong is also a trusted advisor in the senior services and broader healthcare and social services sectors. Yee Hong’s Institute for Social Innovation in Aging builds capacity with a range of social service organizations through advisory services, its private career college and research.With deep knowledge and expertise in culturally appropriate senior care and services, Yee Hong partners with other like-hearted organizations and systems, funders, corporations, policy makers and researchers building a better understanding of the need for person-centred and culturally appropriate care for seniors living in any setting. This includes creating awareness to actively address systemic barriers including stigma, discrimination and racism that leads to poorer health outcomes and quality of life for racialized communities living in Canada and beyond.Yee Hong is seeking an exceptional Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”) to lead the next chapter in Yee Hong’s evolution and growth. Reporting to the Yee Hong Centre Board of Directors through the Board Chair, the incoming CEO is a dynamic and collaborative executive leader who will continue to shape Yee Hong’s strategic direction and exceptionally execute on its transformative strategic plan and digital transformation journey. The Chief Executive Officer is a strategic, visionary healthcare and business leader with strong financial, operational, human resources and governance experience. With outstanding relationship building and stakeholder management skills, the incoming CEO will have expertise in corporate and community partnership development, fundraising, including effective government funding, communications and relations. Highly regarded for their inspirational leadership approach, the CEO has the proven ability to build and leverage highly capable teams, in person and remotely, in a rapidly transforming environment.Driven by a commitment to excellence in providing seniors’ care and the importance of elevating seniors’ experience to the next level by addressing the growing and diverse needs for innovative, high-quality services, the incoming CEO knows how to effectively communicate Yee Hong’s unique brand and value proposition, cultivate opportunities to renew and build Yee Hong’s capacity for innovation and transformation, and poise it for sustainable growth. A goal-oriented change agent, the incoming CEO will build and inspire a high performing management team to innovate and advance the operational effectiveness of Yee Hong through a rigorous review of the current operations and organizational structure to achieve service expansion and efficiency improvement.With 10-15+ years of progressive business and operational leadership experience in healthcare, social and community services and/or senior or long-term care, the incoming CEO is a compelling, well-networked executive leader with a passion to advance excellence in seniors care delivery, solidify Yee Hong’s platform for sustainability and growth, and deepen its impact in the communities it serves. The incoming CEO will have a demonstrated history of transformative leadership with a keen sensitivity to diverse cultures and their nuances.
