Junior IT Support Technician

Continual Energy Inc. deploys cutting-edge, specialized energy solutions for buildings. We are currently looking for qualified individuals to support the company’s internal Information Technology needs.

Core Responsibilities :

  • Report directly to the Chief Technology Officer, taking direction on company IT initiatives.
  • Support the company’s internal systems and devices, including but not limited to laptops, desktop PCs, mobile devices, on-premise and cloud servers, modems, routers, network switches, etc.
  • Provide support for installation, configuration, maintenance, updates, patching, and troubleshooting of business software platforms including but not limited to Microsoft Office 365.
  • Report daily to downtown Toronto office Monday through Friday, with occasional travel to regional company offices and project sites.

Skills Required :

  • Understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals.
  • A sound knowledge of networking concepts.
  • Experience with operating system setup on both laptops and servers.
  • Familiarity with best practices for patching and upgrades.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Office 365 Administration.
  • Ability to take direction, work in a fast-paced team and collaborative environment, multi-task, and maintain organization.
  • Very comfortable with Windows-based computer systems and Microsoft Office.

Additional desired skills, but not required:

  • Microsoft Visio for network drawings and flow-charting.
  • Experience with Linux-based operating systems.

Qualifications and Education Required :

  • Diploma, degree, and/or equivalent relevant experience in related field.

Compensation :

  • Salary range $50,000 to $75,000 dependent upon experience and qualifications.
  • Three (3) weeks of vacation.
  • Ten (10) paid days off (sick days).

Schedule :

  • Typical work week is Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • Occasional overtime or after-hours/weekend work required.

  • Applicants must be authorized to work in Canada.
  • Capable of passing an Ontario Contractor Security Screening Check (no criminal record).
  • Be prepared to show a portfolio of your work.

Job Types : Full-time, Permanent

Salary : $45,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
