Reliability Engineer - Kingston area

One of our top partners in the Electric Vehicle space is preparing to build a facility that will be a crucial part of Canada’s Electric Vehicle (EV) supply chain in Kingston area. Our client is looking for a Reliability Engineer who will be responsible for identifying the maintenance requirements for assets to increase plant productivity, improve processes and maximize reliability performance. Responsibilities - Coordinate all predictive maintenance efforts on site to secure Asset health. - Establish a systematic review process for the production maintenance to ensure the effectiveness of existing production program. - Asses the expected life of assets, life cycle cost of the equipment, ways to extend life of the assets, and address failure modes. - Ensure that the reliability needs are incorporated in design, purchase, installation and commissioning phase of the capital projects. - Manage and lead the processes within maintenance to ensure appropriate changes are made to improve reliability and reduce maintenance costs. - Determine the function, capability, probability of failure, impact and acceptable risk of assets for maintenance works. - Conduct critical assessments of all assets to define health measures. Qualifications - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering - Minimum 3 to 5 years experience working in mid to large size production plant operations preferably in chemical industry. - Proven ability to lead maintenance and reliability teams in a complex facility. - Practical knowledge of PdM technologies such as Vibration Analysis, Oil Analysis, Infra Red, etc,. Certification in PdM technologies is a plus. - Ability to facilitate RCFA (Root Cause Failure Analysis) And RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance) Processes. - Advanced computer skills and maintenance management systems (SAP PM). - Ability to identify, analyse and solve problems. - A self starter with an ability to work independently, committed to achieve results.
