Technician, Occupational Health

Join our team in this entry level role where you will be responsible for performing administrative and learn clinical tasks such as fit for duty testing, medical surveillance or other related Occupational Health duties while supporting our shared goal of delivering high quality employee health solutions to our clients.

What we look for :

  • An ability to serve as a goodwill ambassador (front-line liaison). This position is all about people and how you ensure a positive experience for our clients.
  • Devotion to warmly greeting visitors, chart preparation, filing and archiving of medical records, and maintaining supplies.
  • Someone who can wear many hats in a day and look good doing it.
  • Comfort using an electronic medical record system (and you may even boast about your excellent data entry skills).
  • Joy for preparing examination instruments and equipment, collection of laboratory specimens and/or performing basic laboratory tests, including phlebotomy, pulmonary function tests, audiometric exams, visual acuity testing, urine drug screening.
  • A can-do attitude with a willingness to learn. There isn't a job that is too big or too small at Apex.
  • Canadian Phlebotomy Technician certification or equivalent education and experience an asset.
  • Previous exposure to Occupational Health work environment an asset.
