Responsibilities :

  • Answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, identifying customer needs, and marketing other appropriate products and services to our customers
  • Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service, including but not limited to: responding to inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, coverages, policy changes, transfers, claim submissions, and billing clarification
  • Responsible for ordering supplies, keeping minutes of weekly meetings, checking incoming and outgoing mail
  • Work with the agent’s computer system to update information in the customer database used by the agent
  • Completing changes with a high degree of accuracy
  • Responsible for daily bank reconciliation and deposits
  • Contact prospects and current policyholders for sales appointments
  • Occasionally quote and sell property and casualty insurance
  • Meet customer service goals and assist with marketing goals as directed by the agent
  • Complete and close bank deposits and other administrative tasks outlined in the Daily Checklist
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the agent
  • The role may require Team Members to participate in the local community and networking events

Skills & Requirements :

  • Must hold a Property & Casualty license (OTL license)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - written, verbal, and listening
  • Evaluating alternative sources of action and their likely outcomes and selecting the best alternative
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to create and maintain business relationships with prospects and policyholders. Proven track record of being punctual, trustworthy, dependable, and always acting ethically
  • Ability to organize and act on several activities concurrently
  • Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
  • Knowledge of computer systems/software required, including Microsoft Office experience, an asset
  • Car with a valid G License
