As an independent officer of the second line of defence from the Risk Management department, the Manager, Operation Risk will report directly to the

VP, Risk Management (Chief Risk Officer) with regards to banks Operational Risk Management function and other risk management functions within the organization. The Manager, Operation Risk (Risk Officer) will act as a champion and challenger, guiding business partners in implementing operational risk management practices and supporting the Risk Management Department's overall mandate. : Analyze and synthesize risk exposures, operational losses, root causes and control gaps to proactively identify risk exposures and control gaps. Present findings and analysis results to the CRO and the Leadership Team as needed : Support the Bank's loan portfolio management with the adequate limits and review the data adequacy in order to make the portfolio management reporting to the Board accurate : Support the CRO and Risk Management Committee (RMC) with actionable insights to make informed, risk: based decisions : Prepare and submit reports to the CRO, senior management, RMC, Parent bank, and regulatory bodies as needed : Establish and maintain the Bank's Operational Risk Management Framework in accordance to OSFI's E: 21 aligned with the Bank's strategy and other risk management functions : Review and monitor the Bank's effective IT and Cybersecurity Framework aligned with operational risk management framework : Reviewand monitor the Bank's outsourcing or the third party risk management process in accordance to OSFI's B: 10 : Review and monitor the Bank's Fraud Risk Management program in alignment with the operational risk management framework : Perform an independent review on new initiatives of the Bank as part of change management of the Bank : Coordinate and report RCSA, Loss data and KRI on a regular basis : Review and monitor the Bank's BCP (Business Contingency Plan) and related measurements such as BIA (Business Impact Analysis), RA (Risk Assessment) and MCA (Mission Critical Activities) on a regular basis. : Make a challenge for any Important Company of the Bank's process and procedures from regulatory requirement Requirements : : 7: 15 years of relevant canadian banking experience: CPA designation or FRM, or in pursuit of any risk management related designation, is preferred : Strong research and communication skills : Demonstrated analytical thinking to solve complex problems : Strong time management and ability to handle multiple projects : Excellent documentation skills related to policies/guidelines/procedures/manuals : Experience in VBA or SQL is also considered an asset : Experience in analyzing and providing insights on OSFI and Basel II and III regulations is considered an asset
